Nestled at the gateway to Cadillac, Ch\u00e2teau Fayau is the historic birthplace of Vignobles M\u00e9deville. It all began in 1826 when J\u00e9r\u00f4me M\u00e9deville, then a cooper, acquired this estate whose winemaking origins date back to 1711. Today, Jean and Marc M\u00e9deville passionately embody the eighth generation of this lineage of artisans, blending a taste for tradition with a modern vision of viticulture.
\nOverlooking the ducal city, the estate’s vineyard covers approximately 41 hectares. Its great typicity relies on an exceptional terroir that combines clay-limestone summits with high plains of clay-siliceous and gravelly soils.
\nThanks to this geological richness, Ch\u00e2teau Fayau crafts a remarkable palette of wines: sweet white Cadillac wines of great aromatic finesse, fleshy red Cadillac C\u00f4tes de Bordeaux, as well as dry whites and ros\u00e9s of superb freshness.
