Château DU CROS
Majestically overlooking the Garonne Valley from its rocky outcrop, Château du Cros is a place where medieval history and viticultural excellence converge. Beyond the 12th-century stone ruins, it is the human element that breathes life into the estate: the Boyer family has cultivated a passionate expertise here for four generations. Today, under the leadership of Catherine Boyer, a dedicated team of thirteen works daily to preserve this heritage, sharing their love for the land through a welcoming and educational approach to wine tourism.
Regarding the wines, the property is an essential benchmark for the Loupiac appellation. Its sweet dessert wines, crafted from hand-harvested grapes using successive “tries” (selective pickings), are distinguished by a perfect balance between the aromatic richness of Sémillon—including some century-old vines—and a vibrant freshness. The estate also produces characterful dry whites and elegant reds in the Graves and Cadillac appellations, expressing the full diversity and finesse of an exceptional clay-limestone terroir.
