Château Bidonnet Laffitte

Benefiting from a generous amount of sunshine, this small estate perched on the hillside, on calcareous clay soil, extends over 14 hours and produces about 500 hl of wine per year.
All our wines are AOC and from noble grape varieties such as Sémillon, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Average age of the vineyard: between 45 and 50 years (it takes old vines to make good wines!)
Our distribution network:
80% with a particular clientele throughout France and 20% in China and Brazil.
We do not seek to expand in an effort to control a qualitative and reasoned production.
The name of Château Bidonnet Laffitte?
One of my ancestors had an attribute that earned him posterity: owning a small, well-rounded belly “Lou Bidonnet” in patois… and then Laffitte because a former owner owned under this name, part of the cellars.
In 1925, my great-grandfather, eager to mark history in its purest truth, merged the two names: Bidonnet Laffitte.
