CHATEAU LA BASTANE

Château La Bastane, nestled on the hillsides of Rions, is above all the story of love at first sight and a revival spearheaded by Anaïs and Bastien. In 2017, this young, passionate couple took the reins of this historic 17th-century estate with a clear vision: to breathe new life into this exceptional terroir overlooking the Garonne. Together, they have infused the estate with a modern, artisanal energy, placing respect for life at the heart of their life’s work. Their approach to viticulture is resolutely forward-looking: the 10-hectare vineyard comprises 8 different grape varieties and is fully certified organic. Anaïs and Bastien practice gentle viticulture, promoting biodiversity and mechanical soil cultivation to preserve the ecosystem. This patient approach allows them to extract the quintessence of the gravel and clay soils. The wines produced, primarily under the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, include reds, whites, and rosés. Their vintages are distinguished by great freshness and remarkable crisp fruit. Whether they are wines for immediate enjoyment or for aging, each bottle sincerely expresses the signature of this dedicated duo.
