Château LE SENS
Nestled in Saint-Caprais-de-Bordeaux, atop the rolling hills of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux region, Château Le Sens (a 17th-century estate) is much more than a winery: it is a living legacy. Since 1858, the Courrèges family has been cultivating the vineyards here with undiminished passion, passed down through eight generations of winemakers! Today, Franck Courrèges carries on this ancestral expertise while infusing a modern and sustainable vision into this 6-hectare vineyard.
Here, viticulture blends with life ( a pioneer in vitipastoralism with a flock of sheep ). Certified organic, the estate prioritizes “common sense”: vitipastoralism, with sheep grazing among the rows, and the preservation of Natura 2000 areas demonstrate a deep respect for biodiversity. On these clay and gravel soils, Merlot, Cabernet, and Muscadelle thrive, producing wines of great roundness and remarkable aging potential.
Stepping through the Château’s doors is to share a moment of genuine conviviality. Between historic cellars and preserved landscapes, each bottle tells a story of people and nature, an invitation to rediscover the profound essence of the Bordeaux terroir.
