Château DU PAVILLON

Château du Pavillon is an 18th-century chartreuse (manor house) that overlooks the valley of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux region. Its vineyard is situated on a unique terroir composed of fossilized oyster beds, which is highly characteristic of the exceptional Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellation. The Ciron, the stream responsible for creating the necessary microclimate, flows into the Garonne river right in front of the château. The buildings cover over 1,600 square meters, including 800 square meters of living space. Built by the Laclotte brothers in 1761, this architectural jewel features a central pavilion that is listed on the inventory of historic monuments and sites. The historic wine estate consists of just 4.5 hectares of white grape varieties entirely surrounding the château, and 3 hectares of red varieties under the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations across the regional road, overlooking the Garonne. The white vines were planted in 1945.
