CHATEAU LAGRANGE
Located in Capian, in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region, Château Lagrange is a family-run estate now managed by Olivier and Laure Lacoste. In 1991, their father Michel revitalized the estate by restructuring the vineyard. Today, his children carry on this tradition with passion, with Laure having joined the venture to honor this legacy.
The 9-hectare ( 4ha white wine / 5ha red wine ) estate flourishes on clay-loam hillsides. Deeply committed to the environment, the winemakers practice organic farming that promotes soil life to express the purity of the fruit.
Their production is distinguished by a constant pursuit of finesse. While the estate offers classic vintages, it stands out for its wines aged in large terracotta amphorae. This unique aging method, applied to reds (Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux) and whites (Bordeaux), allows for natural micro-oxygenation that preserves the fruit’s vibrancy and imparts a velvety texture, resulting in wines of great aromatic purity.
