Château DE CARIGNAN
Located in Carignan-de-Bordeaux, just a few kilometers from Bordeaux, the stunning Château de Carignan now spans a 150-hectare estate, 65 hectares of which are dedicated to vineyards. Rich in history and shaped by illustrious owners—including the family of the famous writer Montesquieu—this exceptional estate has been owned by Andy Lench since 2007.
The vineyard benefits from a remarkable terroir, featuring clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils with south and south-west exposure. The grape varieties consist of Merlot (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), and Cabernet Franc (10%). Committed to sustainable agriculture, the estate’s team implements eco-friendly techniques certified by HVE (High Environmental Value) to produce great terroir wines under the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux Protected Designation of Origin (AOC).
Blending tradition with modern techniques, the château welcomes visitors by appointment in the heart of a magnificent, blooming rose garden to discover its temperature-controlled aging cellars and an exclusive contemporary sculpture by artist Miguel Berrocal.
