DOMAINE LES CARMELS

Located in Langoiran, in the heart of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux region, Les Carmels is a farm in the broadest sense of the word: vineyards, fruit trees, animals, children, and a family home; in short, it is Sophie and Yorick Lavaud’s life’s work. Since 2010, this passionate couple has been shaping these lands with a vision where people and nature are one. Far from an industrial approach, Les Carmels stands out for its “simple and natural” philosophy. Here, wine is a family affair: Sophie and Yorick live on the property, surrounded by farmland, following each cycle with daily care. Their firm commitment to organic farming and natural winemaking reflects a deep respect for the land, whose characteristics they strive to capture in every vintage they produce. The human touch is also reflected in their warm welcome and their willingness to share their expertise. Each bottle tells the story of this complementary duo—he, the agronomist with a passion for biodiversity; she, the estate’s passionate voice—united by the desire to offer authentic wines that reflect a preserved terroir and a sincere human journey.
